Together again!
After having a year off in 2020, it was incredible to be back at DILA again with a near record number of like-minded organizations and attendees! There’s simply nothing that can replace the fellowship and collaboration of an in-person conference. From hallway discussions between new and old colleagues, to great conversations with old and new faces in the sponsorship hall, being in-person with so many in our community was truly a blessing. DILA always does a great job with featured speakers and advanced session topics, but by far, the highlight was being together.
Friends old and new
Having the opportunity to sponsor and attend DILA is one of the highlights of our entire year! Since about half of the organizations that attend the DILA conference are DDI clients, it is always a delight to be reunited with friends such as those we see at the conference.
It is our pleasure to host an annual appreciation dinner the first night of the conference, which is open to the entire DILA family – friends old and new. Bringing the community together in that setting is such an honor, and we cherish all the conversations, stories, and memories that come out of that evening.
As the conference grows, and new organizations join, we love the opportunity to meet the new DILA attendees, and learn about their mission and purpose. It is great to hear how surprised and thrilled new attendees are about having a community to rely on – one they may not have known even existed! Oftentimes, groups learn about the conference through DDI, as we promote the importance of the DILA community to our clients every chance we get.
A Commitment to Excellence
The larger group sessions are always planned with such excellence and thoughtfulness. Whether it is the morning devotions, an engaging panel discussion, or the variety of plenary sessions, each part of the DILA conference is remarkably impactful and refreshing.
Telling our story and sharing our like-minded mission with the attendees of DILA is important to us. We were able to do just that, having received the honor of speaking about DDI at one of the full group sessions. All the sessions provide context around the larger topics that our client organizations are dealing with in their operations throughout the year, which allow DDI to plan and prepare for the future of our offerings as we serve the missions of our clients.
An Invaluable Community
DDI is committed to the DILA community, our clients, and the organizers of this great event. The conference, all the great conversations, as well as our appreciation dinner, is the highlight of our year. We cherish this environment where each organization can participate in discussion, share information, and learn best practices. We are looking forward to a long partnership with the DILA organizations and hope each attendee had a great experience in Baltimore!!
