Another year of DILA has come and gone. This year, due to the pandemic, DILA could not take place in person. While we were sad to hear the news, we were eager to attend the DILA’s “Wednesdays in September” virtual conference. Here is our recap of this year’s conference:
The Switch to Virtual
In spite of DILA going virtual, we thought that the conference was outstanding! Specifically, we thought that DILA did a great job communicating, stacking the agenda with great round tables and speakers, and engaging both the attendees and ministry partners.
The DILA Community
We love the DILA community! When we heard that DILA would be going virtual, we were sad that we could not gather in person. However, upon attending the conference, we were pleasantly surprised! As always, DILA members have a shared vision to grow the Kingdom. This year, we were happy to be with the DILA community as we learned about what has positively and negatively affected their ministry, hear about their best practices, and discuss future challenges and opportunities.
Learning Opportunities
At DDI, we are always on the lookout for new ways to serve our clients well. During DILA, there were many learning opportunities. This year, it was very insightful for hear about investment and loan demand. Also, it was good to hear how different groups and churches are navigating the challenges of the pandemic. This information that we learned at DILA will help us better serve our clients.
Sponsorship
This year, DDI was proud to be a virtual Platinum Sponsor of the conference! This is our 17th year sponsoring and partnering with this great organization of ministries. We are proud members of the DILA community, and that is why we were grateful to play a small part in the event. Looking to next year, we plan on being a Platinum Sponsor for our 18th year, and we hope to host another dinner to thank the DILA community!
Thank you, DILA!
DDI would like to thank the DILA planning committee and The Meeting Connection for working hard to make this event happen. We know that the switch to going virtual was not an easy transition, but the virtual conference was a huge success. We look forward to seeing everyone in person next year!
